First Class Rocksteady contains seven 7"s of top ranking sounds from The Jupiters, Carton Manning, Derrick Morgan, The Melodians, Errol Dunkley, and more - all lovingly reproduced with the original Jamaican label designs. From the label: "Rocksteady,Ā the down tempo cousin to SKA that ruled Jamaican dancefloors from 1966 ā 1968, when the national beat shifted to reggay (now spelled reggae). Although short lived, the riddims and vibe of Rocksteady have influenced pop and dance music in every decade that has followed." Comes housed in card box with a pack of Jamaican post cards.
