Tortoise: Tortoise Vinyl LP
To mark their 20 years of existence, Thrill Jockey is going back in their catalog to reissue many of its classics. Tortoise's debut album from 1994 is finally back in print. I always had a softspot for this album cause it proved an alternative to emo-frontmen of the alternative era, and boasted all-star players, abstract album covers, double bass(!), and players rotating instruments. The sound still holds firm today, perfect listening for changing of seasons, strong coffee, and lazy afternoons. Recommended.
