This live performance, recorded in Italy in 1961, gets the Doxy Audiophile Clear Vinyl treatment in an edition of 500 numbered copies. While not a definitive album from Monk, the renditions of a handful of his classic songs are enjoyable. It was to be Monk's final recording from Riverside before signing with Columbia. His quartet for the tour that this concert was a part of included Charlie Rouse (then near the beginning of their decade-long association), John Ore and Frankie Dunlop.
