The War On Drugs: Lost In The Dream Vinyl 2LP
Impressive third full length from Adam Granduciel's The War On Drugs. The Philadelphia based band seems to have existed in the shadow of former member Kurt Vile since his rise to fame. Lost In The Dream appears set to change all that. The album's predecessor, Slave Ambient, was a cult success but The War On Drugs will be topping year end lists with this one. The album is a collection of songs that were written by Granduciel while he faced the depression of returning home after being on the road. You wont really feel that depression though, as Lost In The Dream is full of uplifting moments that transcend classic rock cliches. You can feel Granduciel's love for the music he is making throughout the album. Check out "Under The Pressure," "Suffering" and "An Ocean In Between The Waves" for a taste of the greatness.
