The Velvet Underground: Live At Max's Kansas City (180g) Vinyl 2LP

Now on 180 gram vinyl. Live recording of the Velvet Underground performing at Max's Kansas City on August 23rd, 1970. By theĀ time of its release in 1972, Lou Reed had actually already left the band, butĀ it was released regardless to fulfill their label contract obligations (VU had signed a 2 album deal with Atlantic for Loaded). This performance isĀ notable for being the last time Lou Reed would play with the band during theirĀ 9 week engagement at the NY club.Ā Andy Warhol associate Brigid Polk recorded mostĀ from these sessions to portable cassette, which were eventually released as this album. 15 tracks on double vinyl with remastered sound. Released as part of the Start Your Ear Of Right series.
