1997's An Orchestrated Rise To Fall was Jimmy LaValle's first solo outing, for which the Tristeza member recorded his Rhodes improvisations onto a vintage drum machine. The melodic, ambient nature of the project carries over into this 2001 LP, but for One Day I'll Be On Time, guitars take on a much larger role. This project is yet another chill, relaxing post-rock listen from LaValle; you can see why Sigur Ros took him on tour after the release of this album. Highlights include "The Sailor," "Story Board," "The MP," and "Guest Of…" This double LP reissue will feature a die-cut leaf cover, digital download included.
