Pro-Ject: Downforce Balance Scale / Tracking Force Gauge (3147175414)
This pocket-size tool allows you to accurately measure the tracking force weight and alignment of your cartridge stylus. There is a ridge along the bottom side of the gauge that causes it so balance back and forth like a see-saw. To set up your cartridge, simply place the large hole on the narrow end of the gauge over your turntable spindle, and position the stylus tip over the marking for the desired weight on the gauge, then adjust your tracking force up or down until the protractor is level.
