Prime Numbers: P 2 (Linkwood, Reggie Dokes, Napiheadz) 12"

Key repress alert! Second release from Trus'Me Prime Numbers imprint with contributions for some of the Detroit scene's finest. First up, UK's Linkwood (of the famed Firecracker releases), drops a Minnie Ripperton tribute entitle "RIP." Utilizing vocals from "I'm A Woman," this is one heavy piece of music, I could drop the "recommended" after listening to this track alone. On the flip, Detroit collective NapiHeadz drops the solemn "Jah Bless," which starts off as a house track then miraculously transforms into a dub track in the final third. Detroit native Reggie Dokes closes the EP with "Black Thoughts," a challenging piece that utilizes volume changes and space. Heavy, heady stuff all the way through. Recommended.
