Intimate concert performance from 1959. Recorded at The Town Hall in New York City, Nina Simone's performance was spectacular. Mostly solo work, her voice is rich and incredibly emotional throughout. Though it is supposed to be a live performance there were some tracks that she went back into the studio and re-recorded specifically for this album. The stunning rendition of 'Black Is The Color Of My True Love's Hair' might be the stand out on the album with 'Wild Is The Wind' a close second. 11 tracks in total, reissued from the fine folks at 4 Men With Beards on colored vinyl.
