For the seventh installment of Most Excellent Unlimited's collaboration series with Danny Krivit, here's a 7-inch release containing two classics that "regularly lit up the Loft and the Paradise Garage." First up is War's instrumental track "City Country City," which Mr. K trims down to 6 concentrated, potent minutes. On the flip, Mr. K does a lot of DJs a huge favor, as he "pulls the piece of this Larry Levan favorite apart and reassembles them as only a veteran audio mechanic could do, giving the tune the logical musical arc it never had." The "tune" refers to Jakki's "Sun...Sun...Sunā¦," which has been in circulation on dancefloors in "awkward tape edit" versions (Walter Gibbons' work!) notorious for shifting tempos and downbeats.
