In one of the most creative J Dilla tributes yet, Carlos Nino & Miguel Atwood Ferguson have re-interpreted Dilla's music in a contemporary chamber music style (yes, classical). You've never heard Dilla like this - played by Atwood-Ferguson and a 60 piece orchestra, with a little help from Bilal, Dwele, Amp Fiddler, Karriem Riggins, Thundercat, Kweli, and more. Tracks include Dilla favorites "Antiquity" and "Welcome to Detroit," plus covers of Slum Village's "Fall In Love" and "Fantastic," plus De La's "Stakes Is High" and some beautiful Satie interludes. Portion of the proceeds go to Dilla's family, housed in cardboard gatefold sleeve.
