Mike Dehnert: Umlaut2 Vinyl 12"

Mike Dehnert: Umlaut2 Vinyl 12"

Timely reissue from Rotterdam's Clone! Mike Dehnert's Umlaut2 kicked off the label's Basement Series with one two punch of deep, dub inflected techno. His "First Version" and "New Version" takes on the twelve's eponymous track delivered his trademark style in stripped down and more housed up fashion. What really got everyone talking about this record though, was the Levon Vincent remix. Vincent wasn't quite the name he is today when this dropped and this helped cement his reputation as a DJ and producer to look out for. His take is grittier than Dehnert's originals, bringing a distinctly New York vibe to the track. Great to see this one back in print!
