Grant Eadie AKA Manatee Commune’s self-titled LP continues from the shimmery impression left by his EP, Thistle, released earlier in the year. The lush textures and a playful approach to drum programming and synth/melody work are perfectly complemented by the whispery vocals (sometimes passed through various filters), and the Pacific Northwest artist’s knack for “organically molded electronic sound” is elevated yet very approachable.
