New cover art alert! 10 years ago, Edinburgh's Linkwood put together a debut project full of smoky, low-slung dance magic, and System is back in print w/ an updated cover (screen printed) design courtesy of his brother, Discreet Unit. The album has aged very well; the "Kraftwerkian electro" of "Robot Parade" & "Pumpernickel" or the jacking Chicago vibes of "Electricity" are as club-ready as ever and will effortlessly fit into any dance set. Linkwood explores various styles and tempos throughout while remaining conscientious, for the most part, of the dancefloor—check out "Tears," the stunningly voiced boogie heater, or the kaleidoscopic electro-funk bliss of "Falling." Closing out the LP is the serene & ambient flow of "Nectarine," properly done!
