John Harrison: Creepshow Soundtrack (180g, Kill-Lights Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP

John Harrison: Creepshow Soundtrack (180g, Kill-Lights Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP

Written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, Creepshow is a cult-classic horror / black comedy film from 1982. Consisting of 5 short stories, the movie is backed by a score composed and performed by John Harrison (Day Of The Dead, Tales From The Darkside), and the eerie mood the the music sets is an integral part of the creepiness that ensues on screen (swarm of roaches, ape-like creature w sharp fangs, voodoo magic, etc…). It should be noted that Harrison only used a Prophet 5 and a piano for the entire movie, and he really stretches the sonical possibilities of the instruments as there are plenty of interesting soundscapes to explore on this LP. This is the first time a definitive version of the score is being released, and the music has been remixed and remastered from the original tapes, which the composer and Waxwork were able to track down in the attic of Jeree Recording Studios in New Brighton, PA.
