Genre bending rock n roll from Jack White! Working with musicians who normally travel in hip hop circles, White's "Connected By Love" adds a modern edge to his trademark psyche blues shenanigans. There's plenty of synthesizer action to kick things off, before a more classic sounding organ brings in the chorus. White is joined by Nashville's iconic gospel group, the McCrary Sisters, later in the song. The slip side is an even more interesting specimen of experimentalism from the seasoned guitarist. Breakbeats, samples and orchestra hits all pop up, but don't fret, White still rips an epic guitar solo. With these to songs White seems to be saying "I've broadened my musical pallet, let's see just how wide it can get."
