It's a sad album, one that seems to be coming to grips with the fact that technology is not going to make everything better. The production is rich and multi-layered, but never becomes bigger than the sum of its parts. Lytle's knack for simple melodies provides for hooky tracks that almost immediately draw you in. And his lyrics paint a vision of a dystopian future where nature has been taken over by the dregs of technology and consumerism. Can't we just escape it all? Eleven tracks in all.
