Frank Zappa: Apostrophe (180g) Vinyl LP

Zappa's 18th album, now on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl. Of the 60-plus albums Frank Zappa has produced,Ā Apostrophe arguably remains his most accessible and commercially successful work to date. The prolific musician / composer / producer / filmmaker's is widely considered to be one of the most stylistically diverse and innovative rock artists of his time, and it certainly shows through his incredible range and sprawling catalog. Despite the often satirical nature of his work, the stars aligned in 1974 asĀ Apostrophe gave Zappa his first Billboard hit with "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow." The album also includes the instrumental title track featuring Cream bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Jim Gordon, which has been sampled by the likes ofĀ Madlib andĀ U.N.K.L.E.Ā and is a full-onĀ jam in its own right. This 2014 repress comes mastered from the original 1974 master tapes for an optimalĀ listening experience.
