The music of DJ Sprinkles (aka Terre Thaemlitz) is deep and emotive. His brand of house is a strain that while being run through with history and meaning, is still able to maintain an ear for the dancefloor. The remixes featured on Queerifications & Ruins show the breadth of skill that Thaemlitz brings. The sources may be disparate, but the results are so good and consistent they could only come from one place. His reinterpretations of "Lost Area" cover a wide range of emotions that you don't typically find in dance music; from the voice crooning "so many tears," to the one that is caught in the midst of a breakdown.
