Dip In The Pool: On Retinae Vinyl 12"
Ethereal pop gem from Japan's Dip In The Pool.Ā Music From Memory does it again with another stunning rarityĀ saved from the depths of obscurity. Vocalist Miyako Koda and producer Tatsiui Kimura formed Dip In the Pool in the mid-80's deliveringĀ a unique brandĀ of dreamy minimal pop. "On Retinae" was featured on their 1989 self-titled release, but gets a special 12" treatment here courtesy of MFM. The track floats along on a timeless groove that has "perfect end of the night" song written all over it. Includes both the East (Japanese) and West (English) versions. This configuration mimics the incredibly limited Hong Kong promo 12",Ā the existence of which remained unknown even to the band themselves until recently. Recommended.
