The left coast producer built his name alongside Knxwledge, Mndsgn, and Suzi AnalogueĀ with Klipmode, but here he's letting the funk looseĀ over 13 tracks of heavy modern funk grooves. Anyone into the styleĀ that Dam-Funk has built up in recent years owes it to themselves to peep Devonwho's sound. No doubt he's got chops on the synths, but the arrangement and beats are top notch to boot. Highlights include "Cruisecontrol" with Zackey Force Funk and I, Ced, "Purple," "Alphaloop," "Recurringtheme," and "Trio,"Ā but really the whole thing knocks. Recommended.
