Music From Memory does it again!Ā The label continues to dig up forgotten gems, this time by way of London musician Milton MyrieĀ and his little known Caliban side project.Ā Caliban had only oneĀ release, the 1984 Digital Reggae 7" that is partially reissued here, complete with a brand new remix and B-side. "Digital Reggae" is a unique blend ofĀ electro dancehall and funk, created in part "to address the lack of black culture included in the payload of the United Statesā first space station."Ā In addition to the O.G., we're also treated to a fresh dub created by Caliban himself alongside UK producer Jackson Bailey aka Tapes. On the flip, we get a taste of the unreleased jams Caliban has been sitting on with "Supernatural Magic," a funky, feel-good discoĀ anthem. Comes in a custom MFM sleeve. Recommended.
