CrucialĀ Brian Eno work reissued on double vinyl for the first time.Ā Discreet MusicĀ was originally released in 1975 and marked a significant stylistic shift toward ambient music.Ā Compared toĀ theĀ more traditionalĀ rock aesthetic ofĀ his previous effortsĀ (Here Come The Warm Jets,Ā Taking Tiger Mountain, andĀ Another Green World), hereĀ EnoĀ utilized a minimalist set up of synthesizer and tape delay to create the strikingĀ title track that would influence many works to come.Ā The B-side suite "Three Variations on the Canon in D Major" was actually performed by theĀ Cockpit EnsembleĀ lead by fellowĀ ObscureĀ label alumĀ Gavin Bryers. This limited edition 2018 reissue plays at 45RPM, and features half speed mastering done at theĀ world-renowned Abbey Road Studios by Miles Showell for the best possible sound quality. Comes pressed on heavyweight double 180 gram vinyl, complete with gatefold sleeve and printed mastering certificate.
