Boyd Jarvis: Stomp EP Vinyl 12"
The music got me! Echovolt has dug deeper than the rest for this killer reissue of Boyd Jarvis rarities. For those unfamiliar, Jarvis is a New Jersey legend responsible for many proto-house and garage classics, along with Timmy Regisford, who handles mixing duties here. The extended 9 minute version of "Stomp" featured was once pressed on a super rare single-sided Shelter 12", and is actually an early version ofĀ Visual's Prelude classic "The Music Got Me." Flipside features two more obscure Jarvis cuts including the heavily percussive "In The Jungle" and the pianoĀ house grooves of "Piano Track." All tracks remasteredĀ from original DAT tapes that Jarvis had been keeping in his basement for about 30 years at this point.
