Finally on vinyl!Ā Blind Melon's compilation albumĀ was originally releasedĀ in 1996, a year after lead singer Shannon Hoon's overdose. Nico (named after Hoon's daughter Nico Blue), contains 13 raritiesĀ from the promising 90's band, including unreleased tracks, alternate takes, and B-sides. Most notable is the alternateĀ mix of the band's iconic tune "No Rain," plus covers of John Lennon ("John Sinclair") and Steppenwolf ("The Pusher"). This 2018 Analog Spark pressing is the first time this comp has ever been available on vinyl, featuring new mastering by Kevin Gray at Cohearant Audio, and stoughton "tip-on" gatefold sleeve, complete with insert and photos by Danny Clinch.
