Aquarian Foundation: Silent Teaching EP Vinyl 12"
Finally repressed!Ā If you missed it back when it was originally dropped in 2013, consider this your second chance. Aquarian Foundation nailed it with the Silent Teaching EP as a whole, but it's almost worth it just for the lead "Mystery Track." If you could captureĀ the energy of a banging underground warehouse/basement party into a single track, this would be it. Raw AF drums, overblown bass, and a vibe that just don't quit. Every time I played this out, someone would come trainspotting - it's just that kind of track. There's actually plentyĀ more to the EP with tracks like "Dream Of the Red Chamber" that take it deeper into the abyss, the smoked out rave harem vibes of "Caravan of Dreams," or theĀ lo-fi tech glitch of "Hardtalk." Original pressings of thisĀ 12" fetch loot on theĀ second hand market,Ā soĀ cop the nice-price reissue while it lasts (which won't be long). Recommended.
