Animal Collective: Transverse Temporal Gyrus Vinyl LP

Animal Collective: Transverse Temporal Gyrus Vinyl LP

If you've been waiting for Animal Collective to return to their experimental roots, then wait no more. They deliver two sides of formless, fluid jams. Snippets of what may or may not be future songs float in and out of the mass of sound. There is no real song structure here, just pure free form experimentation. According to the stick on the front, "The music on this record was originally created for an installation by Animal Collective and visual artist Danny Perez at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City on March 4, 2010. A computer program designed by Stephan Moore played and panned the music in a 36 channel surround sound system spanning the length of the spiral ramp in the museum's lobby." Comes with a 24 x 36 fold out poster of the Max/MSP program used for the installation and card containing a MP3 download code. Recommended
